Brazos Valley Cares wishes to remind Brazos Valley citizens daily of the sacrifices of our active and veteran military during the week leading up to Veterans Day. You'll see yard signs displayed around town, and several restaurants have offered to host Profit Shares in support of Brazos Valley Cares each day of the week. We'll be handing out yellow ribbons at the different profit share locations. We are also hosting a PTSD Therapy week for 5 local veterans.
PTSD Therapy
Dr Carrie Elk, of The Elk Institute in Tampa FL, will be treating 5 local PTSD veterans from Nov 5 – 10th. This is our second time to bring Dr Elk to our community. In July 2016 we brought her here to treat 5 PTSD veterans. She will be speaking at the Bryan Rotary Club at Phillips Event Center at noon on Wed Nov 8.
